Survey Grade GPS
Leica GPS System 500

Three receivers built on a common platform; System 500 is designed to perform all surveying applications. The single frequency SR510 is built for short baseline measurements with slightly longer occupation times. The SR520 is a dual frequency receiver capable of high accuracy post processed measurements with minimum occupation time. The SR530 is based upon the SR520 but with RTK capability added. The upgrade path from single frequency to dual frequency and RTK is simple with System 500 because of the common platform and operating system.

The modular design of System 500 makes it easy and convenient to switch configurations. Use System 500 on a tripod for control surveys, in a backpack, or all on the pole for RTK applications. Data is collected on industry standard PC cards that are fully interchangeable with Leica conventional total stations.

While it’s true that all GPS receivers use the same satellite signals, there is a significant difference between brands of GPS sensors. Leica engineers packed the latest technological advances into System 500 including fully independent L1 and L2 tracking loops to ensure precise data with high accuracy code and full wave carrier phase. P-code aided tracking provides a decisive 13db signal to noise ratio advantage over conventional cross correlation receivers. This means better signal reception in difficult environments such as tree cover. State of the art jamming resistance and Multipath Mitigation are combined with this superior single reception and satellite tracking technology. The sum total of  this technology is called Cleartrak. If you are interested in more details about Leica’s ClearTrak please download our paper that describes the technology. The best way to understand System 500’s technology put to practical use is to contact us for a demonstration. We’re ready to show you System 500’s productivity enhancing benefits on your jobsite at your earliest convenience.

Leica SR 510
The Leica SR510 is a twelve channel, single frequency, survey receiver. Rugged versatile and very easy use, the SR 510 with Ski Pro L1 Software provides an easy entry to GPS surveying and a cost effective solution for many applications. The Leica SR510 receivers are based on Leica’s revolutionary ClearTrak technology providing the the highest quality satellite tracking, jamming resistance, and multipath mitigation. With an accuracy specification of five to 10mm+ 2 PPM The SR 510 is well suited for control, triangulation, traversing and photo control surveys. The SR510 was designed with an upgrade path in mind. Moving to dual frequency or RTK is simple and convenient.

Leica SR 520
The SR520 is a 24 channel dual frequency survey receiver. Rugged, light weight and very easy to use, the SR 520 with Ski-Pro software provides the accuracy required for geodetic control work. Utilizing Leica's revolutionary ClearTrak technology  the SR520 is capable of producing better than 3mm+.5ppm baseline accuracies when used with with a choke ring antenna,.  Used with the small, lightweight AT502 antenna with built in groundplane, accuracy of 5mm+1PPM is achieved, providing a very effective tool for local control  surveys.

Leica SR530
The flagship of the System 500 family of products, the SR530 is a 24 channel, dual frequency receiver with on-board RTK.  It provides outstanding performance for every type of GPS surveying.

The SR530 utilizes the full spectrum of Leica's revolutionary ClearTrak technology with advanced signal processing, anti-jamming protection and patented multipath mitigation techniques.  There is simply no better receiver in tough environments such as tree cover or urban canyons.

Designed with RTK in mind, the SR530 can be used as a reference or a rover.  It can be set to send or receive Leica, RTCM, or Trimble CMR correction formats.  Simply connect a radio modem, digital cell phone, or CDPD modem for full RTK capability.  The advancement of today's modern data links extends the effective range of RTK.  The SR530 is ready to provide survey grade accuracy at ranges of 25 miles from the reference station. No other survey grade receiver can match this capability.

If you are concerned about possible errors in RTK surveying, the SR530 puts your mind at ease with its exclusive Checkmate technology.  Under Checkmate, when the receiver begins the initialization process, the ambiguity search is performed twice to insure consistency.  As your job progresses Checkmate uses the multitasking capability of the SR530 to constantly recheck the status of the integer ambiguity.  The integrity of your solution is literally checked more than twice per minute as your work progresses during the day.  The result of this rigorous checking is that we are more than 99.99% confident that you will get the right answer all the time every time.  No other survey grade receiver can provide this level of reliability.

The user gets access to all this technology without sacrificing ease of use. One button access to functions is provided via user defined function keys.  The inclusion of an on board database for point management and for coordinate system management makes data collection easy.  Advanced applications are available including roadstaking and dtm stakeout.  The SR530 is very flexible tool for all kinds of surveying work.

Haselbach customers have chosen Leica GPS System 500 because of its:
  • Lightweight  modular design
  • ClearTrak signal processing
  • Checkmate integrity monitoring
  • Powerful on board database for point mabagement
  • Long Range RTK capability
